The St. Luke Baptist Church of Paterson, New Jersey is "Determined to Know Christ and Make Him Known," We are challenged to develop an intimate relationship with Christ through worship, study, stewardship and prayer.

As we mature in our faith we are challenged to "Make Christ Known," through our individual life-styles, and our church's ministry that seeks to evangelize the lost, edify other believers, and lift men and women through socially responsible and relevant ministries.

Thursday, December 24

At 6:00pm we will worship in our Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship Service.

Sunday, December 27

We will worship in one UNITED Worship Service at 9:00am.

Thursday, December 31

At 8:45pm we will worship in our Watchnight Worship Service. We will gather to celebrate God’s blessings in 2009 and look forward to his favor in 2010. Devotional Period will begin promptly at 8:45pm. The Mass Choir will sing, the Dance Ministry will minister, and Pastor Clayton will preach! We are all encouraged to share in this service as we begin the New Year with the Lord!

Sunday, January 10

At 4:00pm we will celebrate our first Communion of the 2010! In addition we will also celebrate the Installation of our 2010 Ministry Leaders. Our guests will be the Rev. Dr. Jerry M. Carter and the Calvary Baptist Church of Morristown, NJ.

Sunday, January 17

At 7:00pm St. Luke will host the Pre-MLK Worship Service sponsored by the Paterson Pastors Workshop. The Mass Choir will sing, all Ushers and Nurses are asked to serve. The preacher will be the Rev. Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Jr., Senior Pastor of the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Washington, DC.

Monday, January 18

As our nation pauses to honor and remember the life of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. the SLBC family will commemorate his life with various service projects. See bulletin insert.

Saturday, January 30

At 6:00pm the Couples Ministry will host an evening of fellowship. More detailed information to follow.
