Ministry of Discipleship
The Ministry of Discipleship exists to provide opportunities for SLBC disciples and others to deepen their faith and develop the lifestyle of a Christian
disciple through learning and applying God’s Word to their lives. It is our goal to equip persons to grow in their understanding of the Christian faith, and become actively involved in the ministry of our local church. We want those who share in the learning process not merely to learn Bible stories or the contents of the Bible, but to understand the truths held in the Bible, and to find application of such for their daily living.
The Ministry of Christian Education and Discipleship and its component areas provide a key opportunity to edify and evangelize. It is for this reason that all who serve on our Christian Education staff become as well versed as possible in God’s Word; that we might take advantage of this opportunity and seize the moment to instill in all of our students a desire to live for God and to become active in discipling the world in which we live.
